Basically, it breaks down the mathematical expression into a tree of sub-expressions. It then starts at the bottom and calculates each result on the way up. The final result at the top is the answer. I don't know where in the interface I'd lay this out, or even how to present this for more complex calculations.</p> <p>As far as locking equations to only allow numerical input, this is something I've thought about myself.
