Perhaps the application database got corrupted somehow.

I'd suggest deleting the application from your device and re-downloading it. That should start you with a fresh database, from which you can re-download the molecules you had before.
pubDate Sat, 04 Aug 2012 22:44:59 +0000 dc:creator Brad Larson guid false comment 1541 at http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com Brad, the only molecule that http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com/forum/problem-downloading-new-molecules#comment-1540
Brad, the only molecule that appears is DNA. No matter what other molecule I click on, I get no other picture of that structural molecule. Just DNA and that's it. Not very useful at all at this pace. Help. I am a teacher and would very much like to use this with my students.

Thanks.
pubDate Sat, 04 Aug 2012 22:19:41 +0000 dc:creator lrinaldini guid false comment 1540 at http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com I've submitted an update for http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com/forum/problem-downloading-new-molecules#comment-140
I've submitted an update for this which should address the crashing, although the server issues should be resolved in a little bit.
pubDate Wed, 31 Dec 2008 19:38:30 +0000 dc:creator Brad Larson guid false comment 140 at http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com Unfortunately, it looks like http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com/forum/problem-downloading-new-molecules#comment-133
Unfortunately, it looks like the web service was fixed for a little bit, but is broken again. I've let them know, but with the holidays I'm not anticipating this will be fixed for a few days.

In the meantime, if you have the iPhone SDK and have paid the $99 to be able to compile applications for your device, I've placed a modified version of the source code to Molecules here. Beyond that, you can still load custom molecules by browsing to them in the built-in browser or by emailing yourself links of the molecules:// variety.

I apologize again for this error. I was stupid not to anticipate this failure case.
pubDate Wed, 24 Dec 2008 22:08:11 +0000 dc:creator Brad Larson guid false comment 133 at http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com I'm still receiving the crash http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com/forum/problem-downloading-new-molecules#comment-132
I'm still receiving the crash error, and it will not return any search results, are there any other databases in the meantime?
pubDate Wed, 24 Dec 2008 14:47:30 +0000 dc:creator Anonymous guid false comment 132 at http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com The titles for PDB codes are http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com/forum/problem-downloading-new-molecules#comment-120
The titles for PDB codes are now being returned properly. It looks like whatever caused the outage has been fixed. However, I still need to address this case in the next version of the application.
pubDate Sat, 13 Dec 2008 05:31:58 +0000 dc:creator Brad Larson guid false comment 120 at http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com I've had reports of this for http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com/forum/problem-downloading-new-molecules#comment-117
I've had reports of this for the last couple days, but unfortunately I've been away and unable to look into it.

It appears that the PDB is currently not responding to requests for titles. I'm hoping it's just a minor server glitch. Unfortunately, I didn't plan for this case and Molecules crashes when it receives no title data for the PDB codes you get as search results. That was stupid of me, and I'll fix it in the next version.

Hopefully, we can resolve this soon.
pubDate Fri, 12 Dec 2008 17:36:53 +0000 dc:creator Brad Larson guid false comment 117 at http://www.sunsetlakesoftware.com
