Feature requests

Hi - I love your app and would like to extend it to incorporate more small molecules where the user can enter XYZ coordinates for the atoms. If you point me to the right place to hook in, I'll see what I can do to add this functionality. I've been doing app programming for a while (as a hobby, like you) and would like to work on this. So if you can show me where to feed this info into your SQL database, theat would be a help (I haven't done SQL myself)

I know ur going to hate me for this one but it would be nice to see a full representation of these GPCRs; with their extracellular,7TM, and intracellular parts. Ones like the neon pump would be would be nice.

I would like to show videos of molecules, which helps students with 3D visualization, for classes. Is it possible to generate this function?

I'm willing to pay for the app if you add the ability to export images. I do presentations to physicians and researchers using Apple's Keynote, and I try to always include pictures of molecular models in my talks.

Hi - I am a high school teacher and our school is looking at moving to mobile devices in the near future. I am checking out apps and this would be great for teaching molecular shape. I have found a few simple molecules, but it has been hard to find others. Could you just add the shapes themselves? So I'm looking for the shapes:
trigonal bipyramidal
seesaw
t-shaped
octahedral
square pyramidal
square planar

Every molecule (I know of) that I search that has one of those shapes isn't included in the database. This feature would make this app a must have for the Chemistry classroom!

I can see this has been discussed before (looks to me like 2008), but is there plans to add support for XYZ files. I'm a physicist and this is the primary format that we use.

More specifically, is it possible to support XYZ files that include separate frames for each timestep?

Great app but I miss the third viewing method that was in the previous version 2.01? I believe it's called "Cylinders". The other two views are "Ball and Stick" and "Space Filling". While these two are ok, the Cylinders view is more spectacular and eye-catching. I first saw this app with the cylinders view on an iPad in an Apple store and was impressed. Please bring the cylinders view back.

Is there a way that you can bring the structural view back to the iPad app, as well as add distinctions for single double and triple bonds? A color key would be helpful as well for some of the more complex multi-atomic molecules.

Fantastic app, i'm already thinking it will be incredibly useful for A level chemistry which I am taking. I unfortunately agree with another forum that it would be great to have bond length angles and even as far as electron density but I can understand that it may be difficult to do, you could even have a pro (preferably still free!) version?

Maybe this would be asking too much from an iPad app (or maybe I should only mess around with my crystal structures on an actual computer), but as a chemist, it's really helpful to be able to select and view bond lengths, bond angles, and torsional angles from crystal structures. Is there any way that could be done? Even if it weren't possible, this app is fantastic!
